FRASER BRADSHAW
Fraser Bradshaw is managing director at McCann Erickson in Bristol. Fraser began his training in marketing with ICI in 1987, before moving into advertising and working agency side in the early nineties. Fraser has over twenty year’s experience of working in strategic roles on national and international accounts - both in the UK and Europe. He has consulted on B2B and B2C brands, including Marks & Spencer, Dunlop, AXA, B&Q, Carphone Warehouse, Cathay Pacific, Lego and Cable & Wireless. Fraser sits on the Central Board for McCann Erickson, with offices in Bristol, Birmingham, London and Dublin. Fraser is a strong advocate of Integrated Marketing Communications and was formerly Strategy & Planning Director for McCann Erickson, before being appointed Managing Director of McCann Erickson in Bristol in 2004. Since then the agency has been voted UK Agency of the Year nationally and regionally.

ANTHONY STORY
An experienced project and business leader, Anthony Story is an active champion of the creative industries, especially digital technology. He has worked as a producer, creative director and writer across a number of disciplines over the past two decades, ranging from film and TV, to mobile and games, and founded the digital company Junction K in 2004. Projects Anthony has produced include This Is Manufacturing, Make It, Intelligent Business Events, The Outbox, TeamInteract and The Broadband Show. He has also worked as Content Advisor in developing BIS’s broadband strategy, was a member of the South West ICT panel, and has represented digital technology on the Manufacturing Strategy Advisory Panel.
 

NICK JANKEL
Nick Jankel is an ethical entrepreneur, broadcaster and writer, and a world-leading expert on creativity, leadership and innovation mindsets. He is one of Britain's top collaborative innovation consultants including advising the Minister for Innovation, Universities and Skills.  He holds a double 1st class degree in philosophy and medicine from Cambridge University. He has studied most of the world's major human sciences and philosophies - pioneering the practical use of the social sciences to create change in blue-chip organisations. He has been a presenter and psychological coach on BBC TV, MTV and Radio 1, starring in a 4-part show on BBC 3 in 2008. He has written for the FT; led a debate in the House of Commons; and has been published in a major academic peer-review journal on innovation.  He has spearheaded multi-platform projects for BBC Learning, Disney, BBC TV and Radio, NESTA, the Learning and Skills Council; and has received major funding from the European Social Fund and the Arts Council UK.


PETER OPPERSDORFF

Peter Oppersdorff graduated a year ago from the Arts University College of Bournemouth with an FDA in Interactive Media & BA in Digital Media Production.  He is currently
working as a Media Traffic Assistant at Rushes Post Production in London.  Since leaving University he has worked as a freelance Colourist & Offline Editor aswell as broadening his knowledge and experience of the post-production industry, with a view to one day running his own specialist Colour Grading company.
 

SARAH YOUEN
Sarah Youen is currently in her final year at the University of Plymouth studying BA Digital Art and Technology. Throughout her degree, she has been focusing on trying to find different ways of effectively communicating medical information and ideas to the public. Also during the course, Sarah undertook a placement year at Liquid Digital Ltd in London. Here She got to experience the commercial world of design and digital signage through clients such as Sainsbury’s, Tesco, ASDA and Red Bull. In addition to her studies, Sarah is a student ambassador for her course and the university; she helps encourage more young people to go into higher education and in to the digital media world.
 

PATRICK TOWELL
Patrick is a service designer and media executive. He founded Golant in 2006 and led its work developing the strategy and skills framework for the post-graduate media academy for the South West of England, producing Encyclopaedia Britannica’s first foray into broadcast quality video and advising the Engine Group on new digital publishing models in the public sector. Before Golant, he founded and ran Simulacra Media, a new media agency and consultancy specialised in digital learning and cultural content. Simulacra were the lead advisors on the award-winning £500mn Curriculum Online programme, architects of the multi-award-winning Stagework online learning service for the National Theatre, digital services partners to the Design Council and advisors to the Countryside Agency on the implementation of their groundbreaking social media and heritage media initiatives. He sits on the advisory board of The Media Festival. He chaired the Information Society Working Group for the UNESCO UK National Commission, leading its work on Public Service Media and established its media literacy and open educational resources agendas.
 

 
GARETH STOCKDALE
 
 
ADAM POWERS
Adam studied for a degree in Graphic Design at Chelsea School of Art and Design. After graduating he spent the first 6 years dividing his time between traditional publishing clients and the music industry. Amongst the former of those were IPC Magazines, Dorling Kindersley and the BBC World Service. Having Identified new opportunities on the web, Adam spent a year immersed in Flash and HTML, before landing a job within one of the BBC's emerging new media groups. Working through the ranks at the BBC Adam is now Head of User experience & design for Branded Experiences and leads a 50 strong team made up of creative directors, designers and information architects tasked with defining & delivering world class user experiences for BBC brands across:: TV, Radio, Music, Childrens, Learning, and Knowledge.



 

ELLA ROMANOS
Ella graduated with 1st class honours from University of Plymouth's Digital Art & Technology BSc in 2008.  She now runs Remode, an interactive production and game development studio with fellow graduate Martin Darby. Remode released its debut title, Mole Control, worldwide on Steam and at retail in 2010 and has gone on to work on mobile and online games such as Mobile Pie’s My Star, TNT’s Franklin & Bash: The Cave and CITV’s Tati’s Hotel: Magic Muddle. Remode also develops educational games for clients such as PADI and University of Plymouth and was recently commissioned by Watershed’s Media Sandbox to conduct R&D into how heart rate biometrics can be successfully incorporated into videogames. Ella was nominated as a finalist in the UK’s Women in Technology 2011 awards, presented to then Chancellor of the Exchequer Alistair Darling on ‘indie’ game studios and has spoken at several international conferences.
 

MATT HATCH
Matt is MD of Mubaloo, one of the fastest growing mobile application development companies in Europe. He has a track record of running successful technology businesses, working in large corporates to his own venture backed start-up company. “Mubaloo is a unique blend of digital marketing agency and software development company, enabling us to work with a broad range of corporate clients to build bespoke business applications. “The challenge is to help our clients embrace the power of the mobile platform for their businesses and customers.”  Before entering the mobile app space, Matt worked in several high growth start-ups, in a range of sectors including consumer electronics, mobile, wireless and IT networking. During that time he helped raise over £30M in venture funding, and built worldwide development and support organisations.  He holds a BSc (Hons) from the University of Bristol and an MBA from The University of Bath.
 

CLARE REDDINGTON
Clare Reddington - Director, iShed and The Pervasive Media Studio. Clare works with industry, academic and creative partners to deliver collaborative research around digital technology and the creative industries. Clare joined Watershed in Bristol in 2004 to work with HP Labs on utility computing animation project SE3D. In 2007, Clare set up iShed CIC, to initiate and support creative technology research and development. Projects include the R&D investment scheme Media Sandbox, Theatre Sandbox, a new national commisioning scheme and Light Up Bristol, which mapped 400ft projections on to Bristol’s Council house. Before joining Watershed, Clare organised the Cheltenham Festival of science, an annual five day festival exploring, promoting and encouraging debate around contemporary scientific development. Clare is a member of the advisory boards of the Arts and Humanities Research Council Advisory Board, Theatre Bristol, Capsule and Hide&Seek. She was a finalist in the British Council's UK Young Interactive Entrepreneur 2009 and has featured in Wired magazine's 100 people who shape the Wired world in 2010 and 2011
 
BENAJMIN TOMLINSON
Benjamin studied design at Newcastle School of Art but has always had a keen interest in technology. After working at MPL and Samson Tyrell, he worked for SAS design for nine years where he became their Interactive Creative Director. He was responsible for some of the most innovative work the company produced, including award-winning websites such as foxtons.co.uk, ‘Taxi Art’ for Radio Taxis, ‘Making The Modern World’ for the Science Museum and various branding work for BT, Sony Ericsson and Lovells. In 2005 he moved to ico Design where he worked with clients such as Shell, Wellcome Trust, and continued work with the Science Museum. Benjamin joined Poke as a Creative Director in April 2010 where his clients now include Orange, Man City Football Club and Tic Tac. 
 

DAVID BURTON
David is Head of Innovation at Redweb, running a department that’s constantly looking to explore, nurture and exploit new ideas and technologies in the most creative ways. Way back last century he trained and practiced as an artist but now pushes pixels and ideas, rather than paint brushes. He still sketches more than he writes, and is happy to make as many mistakes as possible in order to learn quickly and do great work.
 

CHRIS YAPP
Chris Yapp is an independent consultant, working in technology and futures thinking. He has 30 years experience in Industry working most recently at HP, Microsoft and Capgemini. Chris has been involved in the future of education for 20 years and has written and lectured in many countries on the challenges of personalised learning, lifelong learning, educational transformation and the knowledge economy. His most recent book is “Personalizing Learning in the 21st century”. He is an associate of the think Tank DEMOS. He is a Patron of the National Association of Able Children in Education, NACE. He is a Trustee of World e-citizens, part of Mirandanet, an educational charity. He is a past Trustee of the School for Social Entrepreneurs. He is a member of the UNESCO UK working group on the Information Society.  Chris is a Senior Associate Fellow of the Institute of Governance and Public Management at Warwick University.  Chris is a Graduate of Magdalen College, Oxford. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts. He is also a Fellow of the British Computer Society for whom he blogs on future technologies and impacts on society. He holds an honorary doctorate from Glasgow Caledonian University
