KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Leading industry figure Fraser Bradshaw, Managing Director at McCann Erickson, outlined the vital role innovation plays in the success of any business and highlighted some fantastic opportunities media and design companies can exploit from the changing needs of clients and customers.
CHANGING AUDIENCES
Nick Jankel one of the UK's leading authorities on innovation explored how consumers are interacting with media and technology, what are consumers doing differently and how does this interaction change across different age ranges. What are the implications for technology and future media consumption? How is technology changing in a trans-medial world - and how does that disrupt the process of creation?
CHANGING TECHNOLOGY
A panel of industry leaders explored how technology is influencing and changing the market place and traditional business models.

HOW TO BE INNOVATIVE WITHIN YOUR BUSINESS
A workshop session led by Patrick Towell explored how leading companies have embeded a culture of innovation within their businesses and gave delegates an opportunity to plan how they can implement a similar culture in their own companies.
CLOSING KEYNOTE
Industry champion Chris Yapp independent consultant in technology & futures gave a vision of the future and outlined the challenges and opportunities for businesses in the next decade.
4TALENT INSPIRATION DAY FOR BUDDING APP DEVELOPERS
Budding App developers in the South West were given an exciting chance to get inspired at the Media & Innovation Conference, thanks to 4Talent at Channel 4. The 4Talent Inspiration Day provided an opportunity for people to find out more about designing, developing and marketing apps for smartphones.
SOUTH WEST DESIGN FORUM SUMMIT
Over the past 12 months the Design Forums across the South West have worked together to transform the image, skills and business development potential of the sector in the region. The 2011 Summit explored how by working together we have achieved some major advances and launched some innovative projects.
Join us to hear inspirational speakers, share knowledge and learn about some ground-breaking new projects. The aim of the summit is to bring together members of the 7 Design clusters across the South West to share best practice and to discuss cluster requirements and ambitions. It is also an opportunity to report back on South West Design Forum progress, review projects and to discuss and agree a strategy for developing the design sector across the region.
